Get it on Google PlayBeaufort West was added in November 2026 as one of the festive-season towns, the main stop on the N1 between Johannesburg and Cape Town. Coverage is the town and about 15 km round it, with the Karoo National Park. Every area and main road is rated against SAPS figures for the town's police station and against local news reports, and checked a second time.
Areas rated high risk, by time of day
3
areas rated high risk at night, 19:30 to 05:00
Of the 20 rated areas in Beaufort West, these are the ones at the highest of the four risk levels, for each of the three times of day. Every figure comes straight from the live database, read on 3 November 2026. The lowest band means an area was checked and carries no routing penalty, which is different from an area we have no data for. A rating describes an area's history of vehicle crime, not what is happening on a street right now: lower risk is not no risk.
Driving here
The N1 and N12 on the way into town are checked roads with no risk penalty.
Donkin Street, the N1 through town with its fuel stops, is marked for caution, mostly for theft from parked cars, as are the R61 to Aberdeen and the R381 to Loxton near town. The route card names any rated stretch a route uses.
Tsamaya rates roads and routes. It does not publish a list of neighbourhoods, and the app never labels a place for anyone other than the driver about to pass through it.
