Every mapped area is rated for daytime, evening and night, and every figure on this page comes straight from the live database rather than being typed in.

Twelve patches of a very large country

Coverage is deliberately metro by metro rather than a thin national layer. On the map, each metro is drawn as its own risk zones dissolved into a single outline, read off the live database, so what you get is the actual ground the app has ratings for rather than a tidied-up version of it.

Each shape is the real outline of that metro’s rated ground inside the area the app serves: its risk zones, dissolved into one piece and drawn where they actually fall. The ragged edges and the gaps between them are the coverage rather than an artist’s impression, smoothed to about half a kilometre so that a country fits on a page. Outside the shapes Tsamaya still navigates and still gives you turn-by-turn directions; it simply has nothing to warn you about, and says so rather than implying the road has been checked.

About coverage

What happens if I drive outside a mapped metro?

The app still works as a normal map and turn-by-turn navigator anywhere. It simply has no risk data to apply, and it tells you that rather than implying an unmapped road has been checked and found safe.

Does a blank map mean an area is safe?

No. A blank area means no data. An area rated in the lowest band means it was checked and carries no routing penalty. The app shows those differently on purpose.

How often is the data updated?

Zones and corridors are re-scored periodically as new crime statistics are published, and corrections from local knowledge are applied continuously. The app pulls changes automatically, so you do not need to reinstall it.

Which metro is next?

New metros are added as time and money allow, since each one means fetching map data, scoring it against crime statistics, and running a review pass before anything goes live. Anything people chip in speeds that up.
